Dark Souls III: Fisting Towards the Dark Soul

 I am stupid. But I am victorious. Therefore, I am free. Free of the shackles that I had placed upon myself. The unbearable weight of the Fist weapon only run. And for a game that I had never beaten before, Dark Souls III.  Now, you might be wondering why I would do this to myself? This is a fresh playthrough and the initial impression of a game that I am developing as I go through on this perilous journey. So why would I put so much at stake off the rip? I just felt like my time with FromSoftware needed some spice.  I started the playthrough in 2022 according to my Trophies on PlayStation. And in my mind, I thought that I had enough game knowledge to overcome every boss in DS3 with my fists. The weapons are very fun to use, and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity. For the most part, I was not wrong. That was until I got to the DLC. That is where I would attribute most of my struggles with the game. A roster of bosses and enemies that were cooking me up and down the court.

Crow Country: A Thrill Ride for the Ages

 Last week was a blessed week for Indie Game developers as a slew of titles dropped right into the laps of anticipating gamers. Even the horrible layoffs at the Triple A level could not deter the momentum of games like Hades II, Animal Well, and our star today, Crow Country. A Survival Horror title with inspiration from the likes of Resident Evil 2, Silent Hill, and Final Fantasy VII. There are definitely other inspirations sprinkled in, but these are the big ones that were referenced by the duo at SFB Games. While I am not an expert on Final Fantasy, I can definitely see where the influence seeps in when it comes to Resident Evil and Silent Hill.  And the beauty of those inspirations shine so well in Crow Country. The world and puzzle design have that perfect blend of the horror giants. The Sonic OVA: Strange Isn't It

 I'm not gonna lie, I was kinda stumped on what to write about this time around. A lot of bullshit is really hampering the processes. So, I was thinking about doing something with TV and Movies again. Initially, I was going to go in a much different direction focusing on media literacy, but I have decided to talk about the Sonic OVA instead, or Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie for US people and others who had this cut. One of the big reasons I have decided to go in this direction is the appreciation for this early take on the Blue Blur. There is so much personality and characterization that I feel many adaptations of Sonic seem to lack.  It's a version of Sonic that is absolutely indicative of the time and culture. So, I find it funny that the OVA was produced at Studio Pierrot, known for Naruto and Bleach, and not Toei Animation, known for Dragon Ball and One Piece.
